Frequently asked questions

Where do the events come from?

Events come from the Royal Holloway Students' Union event listings and from the university's own announcements. New events appear in the app shortly after they go up on the SU or RHUL site, so you don't have to refresh anywhere yourself.

Are SU club nights included (Medicine, Tommy's, the Venue)?

Yes. SU club nights at the 1,440-capacity Venue, Medicine nights, Tommy's Kitchen events and Packhorse pub events all appear in the Events tab as soon as the SU lists them.

What about freshers week?

The full Freshers Festival schedule is in the app, usually appearing in late August once the SU finalises it. The Activities Fair, Welcome Week socials and the Saturday Freshers Ball are all listed.

Can I add events to my phone calendar?

Yes. Every event has a calendar icon. Tap it and the event saves into your phone's calendar with date, time, location and description. Works on both iOS and Android.

Can I post my own event?

Events are pulled from official SU and university listings, so the app reflects whatever those publish. If you run a society and want your event in the app, list it through the SU first and it will appear automatically.

How far ahead can I see events?

Everything that has been listed. Most SU events are added a few weeks in advance; Freshers week and the Summer Ball usually appear a few months out.

Can I see society-specific events only?

Yes. Open a society from the Societies tab and you'll see its upcoming events on the same page. Or filter the main Events feed by society to see only society activity.

Will I get notifications for new events?

The app shows new events at the top of the feed when you open it. Push notifications are on the roadmap but not live yet.

Is it free?

Yes. Free on iOS and Android, no account needed to browse or save events. Optional Apple or Google sign-in syncs your saved events across devices.
