Royal Holloway Timetable: How to Find Yours
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Short answer
Your Royal Holloway timetable lives at webtimetables.royalholloway.ac.uk, not in Moodle. Sign in with your college username, choose My Timetable, and pick Calendar Download to get a subscription link. RHUL Mobile does that for you and pins every room on the campus map.
Royal Holloway keeps your teaching timetable on its own system, separate from Moodle and separate from the student portal. That is the single biggest reason people cannot find it. This guide covers where it lives, how to read the room codes, and how to stop looking it up in a browser every morning.
Where your timetable actually is
Go to webtimetables.royalholloway.ac.uk and sign in with your college username - the abcd123 format, not your email address - and your usual password. Once you are in, choose My Timetable from the menu on the left. The landing page after sign-in is a general information page, so if it looks like nothing happened, that is why: you still have one more click to make.
A few things worth knowing before you assume something is broken:
- You will not see a complete timetable until you are registered on all your modules and have been allocated to teaching activities. Early in the year it fills in gradually rather than appearing all at once.
- Outside term there is nothing to show. A 2025/26 timetable runs from late September to early April, so checking in July returns an empty week - that is correct, not a fault.
- The timetables are live. Rooms and times do change during term, which is exactly why screenshotting your week in September is a bad idea.
How to read Royal Holloway room codes
Room codes are the building abbreviation, a hyphen, then the room itself. EWD-1-04 is the Emily Wilding Davison Building, first floor, room 04. HORTON-HLT2 is Horton Building, Lecture Theatre 2. INTER-005 PC LAB is the International Building. The building half is the part that matters when you are walking across campus with eight minutes to spare.
The prefixes you will meet most often:

If you are not sure where a building is, the campus map has every one of them with walking directions from wherever you are standing.
Getting it onto your phone
The web timetable can produce a calendar subscription link rather than a page you have to keep revisiting. On the My Timetable page, choose Calendar Download under "View Timetable As", then press View Timetable. You will be offered a link for iOS and Outlook, and another for Android. Subscribing means changes to your teaching follow through automatically instead of going stale.
That link is personal to you and does not expire, so treat it like a password - anyone who has it can read your full timetable and your name.
Doing it in RHUL Mobile instead
RHUL Mobile handles the whole sequence. You sign in on Royal Holloway's own page - the app never sees your password - and it walks the pages, finds your calendar link and imports your teaching for the year. From then on your lectures and seminars sit alongside what else is on around campus.
The part a calendar subscription cannot do is the room. RHUL Mobile matches each room code to the building on the campus map, so EWD-1-04 becomes the Emily Wilding Davison Building with walking directions, and the room number stays visible for once you are inside. You can view your week a day, a week or a month at a time, and it works offline, which matters when you are checking where you are meant to be while crossing campus.
Timetable or Moodle?
They are different systems and it is worth being clear about which you want. Moodle holds course materials, submissions and grades. The web timetable holds when and where your teaching happens. Separate logins, separate sites, and your timetable is not shown inside Moodle. If you are looking for a reading list you want Moodle; if you are looking for a room number you want the timetable.
For when the terms themselves start and finish, see Royal Holloway term dates.
